they revolutionized the market. lots of dominant phone companies fucked up when they didn't treat apple seriously and try to copy them. take blackberry for example. It was a triple digit stock and now it's only 4 dollars and serves as a cybersecurity company rather than a hardware company like apple. Apple also is the most innovative by far, and when you ask anybody if they would take a free apple iphone 17 or the newest samsung, they're taking the apple phone. they also have invested into large amounts of headquarters and provide scholars to those who are willing to work at apple. Considering that Tim is pleasing Trump, which means political ties to the corporation, they're going to be here for a while.

They're fine in the short / medium term but long term they will inevitably be displaced. Ecosystem only counts for so much when nobody can afford your products
