people structure their entire life around work. their personalities and interests, what kind of car they drive, what kind of clothes they wear, how they style their appearance, where they live, when they wake up and go to sleep, how many children they have, etc

"grown ass" adults who allow their lives to be governed from ages 18 to 65 by the whims of business entities (and defend the right of these entities to do so) that would just as soon cut them loose, deny their health insurance, break up their families, etc. if an opportunity for cheaper labor presented itself

is there a more cucked proposition than having a j*b?

That is true, most people do structure their whole lives around work. One thing I never understood is why or how people are so emotionally invested into their work. Co-workers in the same position as you will try to start trying to do things at work a certain way, they will try to engage you in convo even if they dont like you, they will waste their energy on being fake nice to you. It is so wierd. It is so pathetic.
> how they style their appearance, where they live, when they wake up and go to sleep, how many children they have, etc
ok idk about that lol
>car
Yeah, most people get a car just to drive it to and from work and cannot afford it in cash. During the GFC, many luxury cars went on sale for cheap because the owners could not afford the payments on it. If you look at the wealth stats and income stats, even if you live in a big city, it is impossible for 80% of the drivers of luxury cars to be able to afford it without a payment plan.

>when they wake up and go to sleep,
Well, yeah, obviously. I think you meant to say they orient their life around the 40 hours of work.

I have nothing against work, but people that hate work make work a bad place which makes them hate work more. Females cannot handle 40 hours of work, weak bodies, that's why they are always sick because work fucks with their immune system.
Most men cannot handle work because they are low status and unattractive and their work brings them no validation or sense of well-being so their whole life they feel worthless.
You add females and low-status men into the workforce and you get a really raisinty environment.
(low status men are 80-90% of the male population)

My mum always got angry when I suggested she shouldn't be so invested in her part-time sales job in clothing. It was frustrating because she would sometimes forget to pick me up after my sport or guitar lessons.

You don't even spend 8 hours straight with your family, but you spend 8 hours straight with your co-workers lol. That always bothered me lol.
Like I am at work 40 hours a week, 8 hours non stop, with people I don't want to be with, I dont even do that with family or friends.
So during break and lunch, I make sure to sit away from people. Being with them for work is bad enough, being with them for break is an extra humiliation ritual.

People legitimately spend most of their lives at work. Work IS their life.
5/7 days at work. 50 hours gone Monday to Friday.

I have a job that is functionally equivalent to being a neet. I wake up at noon, sit around at home all day browsing the sharty, and very rarely I make a 3d animation or process a CAD model and email it to some guy. I make lots of money doing this. I never have to make any of those decisions you mentioned to keep this job. Also I just lied about having a degree to get it lmao I learned this raisin on jootube

Nah it's salary, it's just not much work so I can usually complete all my week's tasks in a couple hours here and there and then pretend like it took longer
