i dont think im a psychopath or a sociopath, i just have to be cautious around people and make sure they give me more information than i give them in case they turn on me in the future. hearing peoples emotions is a pain in the ass and really difficult to navigate beyond "damn man im sorry to hear that" or "it is what it is". theres genuinely nothing you can do to help people if theyre feeling sad other than just sit there and nod along, which at that point you may as well be replaced with a bobblehead
