zoomers are a lost generation not because they are cursed or pozzed but because they were raised in an environment that discourages the pursuit of anything real. their entire lives are screens, normalfag zoomers dragged in by way of covid, overstimulated to the point of complete detachment. nothing they do is sincere and everything has to be coated in irony or meta-commentary because they see sincerity, trying too hard, or having actual interests as cringe, unless framed as a joke. they don’t develop hobbies, they develop curated personalities based on fragments of internet culture served up on their algo. there is no deep engagement, no patience, no long-term investment in anything, attention spans obliterated by infinite dopamine loops. everything must be consumed in short bursts. they watch but do not participate, play games but only what is popular at the time, everything is disposable including their own efforts, no strong beliefs, no real identity beyond what trends they latch onto, they cycle through aesthetics without committing to anything. irony poisoning has made them allergic to sincerity, everything is ironic detachment and shallow posturing, even their self-awareness is a joke, they know something is missing, but they refuse to act on it because the alternative is effort, and effort is cringe, those who escape this cycle either become isolated because they refuse to play along or they retreat into blind nostalgia for a past they never truly understood. the actual way out is to cultivate patience, reject irony as a default, and to develop skills without needing validation. but few will do this because it is easier to just consume, it is easier to let the algorithm tell you what to like, it is easier to scroll, the majority will never escape because they never had to fight for anything real, and so they will continue to rot

That and average salary being 17 dollars an hour meaning none of us will never be able to afford a home. Job interviews have stages now so you will have to beat stage 1 - 3 just like in mario to get an entry level job with 5+ years' experience necessary. All while you have to pretend to be happy even though nobody is happy and we all want to kill ourselves. Might have to something to contribute to why zoomers are so fucked up idk
