have any of you notice how smart animals are getting?
i noticed almost 10 years ago that animals would just freak out and act like animals but recently animals for some reason behave more human like.

they're just adapting, they don't think in the same way humans do

my father often says that he believes that current day mice are much more intelligent than the mice they had back in his day, as in they hide better, they seem to sometimes kind of "outsmart" him when he tries to catch them etc

The current selective pressures around the globe are increasingly opting for more intelligence across all species.
The world is changing fast and adapting purely physically and/or instinct is too slow compared to just getting smarter.
It could also be that the behavior was always there and you're just noticing it more often.
