I thought Quintessential Quintuplets had a perfect ending and it ticked every box. It was the ending I didn't want but it was the ending that was the best for every character being able to grow and change into the best young woman she could be. All of them got to a point where every day they would be living their dream, even if they didn't win the main contest of the series they all competed for.
I've never finished another anime with a canon ending. I've finished seasons of anime that didn't complete the story and there were some I finished the seasons of but the seasons didn't finish the plot, but I never finished a full plot except for Quintessential Quintuplets. And it was amazing and changed my entire life.

Unfortunately usually abrupt endings are because the manga got axed and the mangaka had to somehow quickly wrap up the story
It's really infuriating to read something, only for the ending to come out of nowhere while the manga was just a moment ago hinting about a new mystery or something
It's hard to be original in the business or you face getting a premature axe while isekai haremslop mangas have hundreds of chapters and new ones on the way

Thise. I have never read a good manga with an equally good ending. Either multiple plot points are never explained, or it was going smooth and the mangaka decides to pivot the quality directly into the ground.

For example Tower Dungeon (mi favorite btw). The start manages to establish such a unique and lively setting only for it to turn into an empty world with only our main characters not even halfway through. No spoilers but the mangaka appears to have given up on drawing the action, instead preferring to tell not show a major fight for literally no reason at all.
