Imageboards died as a format not because of a “lack of interest” but because of the jannies on places like 4cuck banning everyone with nothing to check rampant abuse of mod privileges. They were never going to compete with the likes of mainstream platforms in the first place but the kinds of anons that used to be around were long term users who would be around for at least 10 years. 4chan won't die. People go there for values; anonymity, casualness, and ephemeral aspect. Normalfags need to attentionwhore, namefag, likes go up. There will always be people who value that aspect of 4chan/image/text/boards (hopefully). This site will probably die when the meme it's based on dies.

You're right, soyjaks probably won't "die" in the sense nobody posts it anymore. I meant 4chan will last longer because people go there with that specific value set I mentioned in mind, and that it's very difficult to find anywhere else.
Sure, you can come here because you value the fun in observing or causing drama or the soyjak meme itself, but most people grow out of that or get bored quickly.
A community centered around a meme or two is far less sustainable than a place FOR communities and memes/fun. If this site doesn't expand its life source beyond soyjaks, it will die when the soyjak dies.

I saw a chart posted of time inbetween gets on soyjak party, and iirc it was trending down. Though, maybe the creator of that chart forgot to account for exponential expansion (more posts needed for 1000000 -> 10000000 than 10000 -> 100000)

There's nothing wrong with being okay with your own company and it doesn't matter how many fucking redditors and normies try to gaslight you otherwise. Being bullied does not mean you have "aspergers" or autism according to armchair doctors. Having a partner is an important part of life, at least to me, and anyone trying to downplay your goals and dreams is not someone you want to be around. Relationships can bring their own joys and sorrows but are generally more of a net positive than normies who take them for granted will straight face lie to you about "not missing out on". You can feel both lonelier and happier than being single while in one.
