I honest to god prefer this low resolution, blurry, blocky, SOVL than the super high res fine line stuff we get today.
Attack on Titan, Demon slayer, Chainsaw man, they all pushed the boundaries of what's possible with animation. Super high effort animation with amazing motion, FX, and camera follows. But the old style just comforts my soul more… its just so much more pleasant to watch

I only discovered Kurumi 2 weeks ago and it's probably my favorite anime of all time simply because it has that autism-in-a-bottle charm. I don't care that the plot is ropey, that the protagonist is a little faggot or that the fight scenes look like a slideshow. Something, indescribable about it, just calms my Assburgers.

S1 has plot, unraveling mysteries, adventure and learning, etc. It's what you'd call A24 slowburn spine tingling kino.
The ending was a complete conclusion. They live happily ever fucking after, and you don't need more than that. Mysteries, fighting, romance, all tied back together.
What is there to fucking do at high school? You cannot possibly add more of that kino essence into a JK.
Pivoting to generic JK trash is a pitiful appeal attempt for people who want to see more of the girls.
I don't mind yuri, and I don't mind JK life trash, but trash is self aware. Animes going that route know it, and you can tell when you watch.
It's just not in line with the concept and soul of the original. Steel Angel was not unique, and far from best in class, but it was certainly something special. It had an essence you could cherish.
Converting to JK is just disgraceful, and massively dissapointing. It could never hold a candle to the original. I just won't watch it

I recently finished the series myself and heavily enjoyed it
The show is almost anime in it's purest form, the anime of animes. The ending was wholesome and showed some good development of the MC. The fact that the sequel to this Aryanime is yuricoal when the series ended so well is just insulting. I've gotten so tired of anime pandering to these faggots, I hate enjoying anime because it's just littered with faggots and troons, both within the media itself and the people who enjoy it.
