OG elitists who think the original is better somehow (even funnier when you realize they're not JOPs and are reading the mediocre mirror moon translation) in a lot of ways compared to the Remake. It mostly boils down to muh aesthetics, muh atmosphere, muh h-scenes, muh design, whatever. It is nonsensical of course, the Remake is longer, more fleshed out and overall has better characters, coherency and presentation. For example, Roa's character was immensely buffed, Vlov is a character with proper objectives and a backstory compared to Nrvnqsr who wasn't even supposed to appear in the original Tsukihime, and was rightfully moved to Satsuki's Route where he's going to be just overall better and more fitting.
It's not exactly uncommon to see people shitting on Remakes given most of them are trash, but the Tsukihime Remake is one of the very few exceptions. It helps that Nasu has wanted to do it since around when the game came out, he had a lot of time to think about stuff between then and 2011 when he read OG again and made a general tentative draft on what to change and whatnot.

I liked roa and found him interesting i think ciel was nicely explored and her character / arc was something i really appreciate back then i think what og tsuki really had over the remake was how everything was phrased worse translation or not it just hit far closer and to me it being half arcs route was an issue in the beginning id say until things started to turn around and the two of them started fighting showing their complex relationship to eachother i liked the roa segments in the og it gave a very unique vibe and i enjoyed thinking about it while i read but i also like the remake version that got more into his past and motivations i liked the good ending its fun in a way no one had to lose but i may also have an issue seeing into how ciel would feel because i cant see the romance between shiki and her thats what the remake did better their dynamic relationship and feelings to eachother were far more established and executed i like both just the og had those very high peaks for me and this very unique feeling with it that ill prefer it, its sort of like comparing an art piece made by a very talented artists who put alot of thought into making it perfect and a drawing made by someone with alot of their own heart in it despite not fully knowing how to translate it onto paper one just made me feel more and therefor is more precious to me

TL;DR you're biased towards the original because you read it first and you probably read the official english translation over the Tsukihimates one. I think this is the general problem, people don't look at things from a more "objective" lens and let their personal feelings dictate everything, they also likely start the Remake expecting nothing from it and just being biased about it in general. I read the OG first too, but the Remake is just far better man. I have no idea how people can so easily prefer the OG over it, then again we have people who think FGO is good.
Personally I liked KnK the most, shit I liked the movies more than I liked literally anything else I've read on TM which is funny since they have less than the LN and Part 6 is butchered.
Though maybe Red Garden will cement itself as the goat to me, but I'm unsure. I still think I prefer Mahoyo over it. I just hope Nasu goes back to his early-mid 2010s writing skill and isn't as bad with it as he is with FGO right now.

Shiki says he was moved to the hospital to treat a sickness he's had since he was a child, and that he had a dream that reeked of blood just as he was going to be discharged. He can't even remember how long he was in the hospital(s, lmao) when he's talking with Kohaku, guessing it to be like 8 months or something, when it's like a year for the first hospital. The CGs for the hospital windows in the Ciel route flashback and the ones you see in the beginning of the game are different. The former have shutters. It is a different hospital. He even notes in the Ciel Route fake dream that the hospital he wakes up in should've been destroyed years ago.
The massacre happened while it was a clear blue sky outside. That's why he feels all sad when he sees it when revisiting the destroyed one. Note that in the Ciel Route flashback he doesn't see lines in the hospital, but he does in the following flashbacks at his school and wherever else. Ciel is the Fifteenth Roa while SHIKI is the Seventeenth. Mio clawed a warning for SHIKI/Akiha that says "watch out for your brother" the Remake has already subverted expectations on a much smaller scale, like how the Vlov ambush doesn't work at all or how Roa talks saying the best Arcueid can do is cut the air (she basically judgment cut ends Roa in the OG, though there's no CG, he almost speaks as if he's read the OG in a way and as such the cube kill is a total surprise, and of course the Boundary scene where Shiki seemingly manifests his origin or something of the sort, unleashing death to such a degree where Roa's legs are directly killed from the death he inflicts upon the floor, it's some King Hassan type of shit but obviously better).
For Nrvnqsr, as I said they fight. Shiki can only kill Arcueid due to her death resistance stat being lowered, she states this directly, and Nanaya notes that she's tired returning from a big job, and in TL Mario notes there was a DAA totally unrelated to Vlov in the city that wasn't really reported on. Oh, and Shiki's throat itches when he's returning home after Noel sexually harasses her to check if he's Roa, the exact same reaction he shows to witnessing Vlov for the first time. He also is unnaturally drawn to that alleyway before Mio stops him, it's very likely that Nrvnqsr and Arcueid are fighting there. She also uses his flesh to heal Shiki after the Vlov fight. Oh and as a bonus, Shiki and Vlov's natural enemies include "Chaos". Of course, you might think "how the fuck is that relevant?" check the embedded pic please. Do I have to tell you whcih DAAs "Rose" and "Modding Maniac" represent? Also Nasu said he wasn't removed entirely but moved to the special category, i.e. Sacchin's route since he's tied to Roa's ritual.

As an addendum, it is extremely likely that Shiki attacked SHIKI first, after Roa's bullshit awakens Nanaya instead of well, Roa, which results in him going haywire trying to kill the first oni he sees, then this results in SHIKI inverting and killing him. He may or may not have poked his right eye, check the embedded pic (it might be a design choice but yeah). It would parallel Kiri poking Kouma's eye and this leading to him killing with pleasure for the first time in his life (the negative karma being passed off + and in the Remake Roa possessing him is why Shiki is the meme rapist guy we know him as)

As for their Origins, it is possible that SHIKI's origin was originally Death, but it then changed to Life after his inversion, and Shiki's origin was something else before dying and being resurrected which changed it to Death. It would also explain SHIKI's ability to see lines of Life and Shiki's ability to see lines of Death. Of course, SHIKI isn't the only mixed blood to be able to manipulate life, but he is quite a bitch to kill with his abilities which are all about survival and of course, his eyes, whereas Shiki is quite feeble physically but makes up for it with his training and eyes.

Of course this stuff is nowhere near as guaranteed as what I said above, it's my little take on it.
