Near future.
So Sience-fiction.
It's kinda like Ready Player One where theres this McGuffin that has to be fund in the Meta-verse.
Character's
1. Old British informatic, OLDGOD, who worked for Government ( before he left, he ain't a glowie) Avatar: Simple geometry shapes ( like a sphere)
2.Bright Brasilan kid from slums of Mega-Polis. Avatr is similar to some MFKZ Cartoon character.
3. Edge-lord ( who has a werewolf avart and get very pissy when someone call's him a furry) American form Nebraska
4. And Japaness girl also very tech-savy but looser irl (Protagonist) avatar: something that would be popular on Japan's internet ( maybe moeshit)

I would but i dislike scifi, too bad

Here's the begining of what I have so far from 5 years of maladaptive daydreaming or something

>Three life-bearing planets too distant to travel between by rocket, one is Earth.
>One has crystal-like plants (warp crystals) that when powderized and ignited/swallowed, can teleport organisms/objects near the closest organism(s) with similar DNA to what it is (randomly) tuned to.
>It is inhabited by orb-shaped sentient beings that can absorb items through their mouth to temporarily use as body parts (constructs), like a makeshift mech suit, etc.
>They finally find a crystal tuned to another planet, which is Earth.
>A former empire on the Orb planet has a hidden fortified city that houses both civilians and weapons within the territory of its conquerers
>Main character (later called Orb Man) is sent on an operation by that empire's conquerers to destroy it.
>He deserts and is punished by having to pariticipate in investigating the planet that they can now teleport to.
>Since Earth's surface is mostly water, he lands in the ocean and almost drowns, but gets washed up on the shores of rather America or Japan.
>Orb Man sees how beautiful and peaceful Earth is relative to his home planet and finds out his construct-making powers are enhanced, too.
>His actions are recorded through a tiny camera for a month or so, for the data to be retrieved wirelessly through a warp crystal portal.
>Orb Man's homeland has intrest in investigating the environmental differences, as enhanced consturcts has many military applications and increases life expectancy for Orbs
>Orb Man's superior officer is sent to retrieve him resulting in a chase that goes into the city, many buildings are toppled by said superior officer in order find him.
>Main character pities the humans buried in the rubble and tries to dig them up and save them, despite his superior officer being on his tail, because of this, he almost gets caught but just barely escapes.
>he is instead chased down and captured by a strange-looking human girl, whom he saved, who is "wearing" "heelies" with shopping cart wheels, despite them being regular shoes (marge?)
>She asks his name, confused and scared, he does not respond.
>She calls him Orb Man, because of his heroic acts and says something like "maybe you can teach me to be a hero"
Sorry for the wordswordswords, I've been working on this for like 5 years and think of new things as I write.
Does it have potential, or is it dust?

I forgot to add that later Orb Man's homeland declares war on earth as the enhanced constructs are tied to a resource only on earth, and the story revoles around that conflict.

TL;DR (still wordswordswords)
>A spherical alien, who is the main character, gets sent to investigate a strange planet as punishment for refusing to commit war crimes in a military operation.
>He discovers something about the new planet, which is Earth, enhances his powers.
>His home country finds out and sends his superior officer to investigate and chase him down, which is done with no care for the native life forms, including humans.
>Many buildings are destroyed in the attempt to catch the main character, killing or injuring humans in the process.
>Main character attempts to free them from the rubble, seeing himself in them, despite the imminent threat.
>Once he sucessfully gets away, the main character is instead caught by a strange human girl, whom he saved earlier, that apparently has the same powers as him, and wants him to teach her how to be a "superhero", and calls him "Orb Man".
>Later it is dicovered that a resource that exclusively exsists on earth powers the aliens up, so a harvesting operation is started, which escalates into an all-out intergalactic war.
