Books are fun. Visual novels normally aren't, since the writing is normally mid, and it only gets worse when its translated from korean or japanese to english. Also, with a book you can get comfy and read anywhere, with a visual novel you are stuck at your computer.

The only visual novel I kinda found fun was class of '09.
