Stick to OG trilogy and mods. "I can't believe it's not Stalker 2" isn't even worth pirating.
I did pirate it, and I still felt ripped off.

Everything I've heard and seen about Stalker 2 over the months and years has led me to the conclusion it's not worth the money, even with mods
Just stick to the originals, especially modded CoP if you're not playing mainly for the story

i mean its free so you might as well play it, the originals are better though

I tried Stalker Gamma because I played 2 for a few hours and people say it's the better game, but couldn't get it to run above 5-10 fps on my 4070 Ti Super rig so I ended up refunding whichever game it was you need for anomaly

dont play gamma. if you want sandbox gameplay, making your own modpack is just worth it. it will take a few days yes, but you will have good, replayable gameplay. otherwise just stick to OG mods, or Misery if you want progression and survival

play vanilla OG trilogy
play mods for the OG trilogy (hundreds of those, from early attempts at making a coherent story mod like Priboi Story to schizo shit like Narodnaya Solyanka/OP, simply pick your poison) (don't even touch NLC though, it was made with intent to make players suffer and develop legit schizophrenia in the process)
play vanilla Call of Chernobyl with some addons (or you could go for something like IWP, which is just a fancier vanilla CoC).

Poisoning of the well didn't start with Analmeme/TRONNA though.
First there was Misery for Call of Pripyat, then some fucks made Dead Air for Call of Chernobyl, which was pretty much just their own spin on Misery, just for sandbox gameplay of CoC.
Then Dead Air became dnb due to developers becoming dnb, so it leads to other retards taking remains of Dead Air, multiplying shitness factor 10x and calling it Anomaly.
And then nuGSC decided to make Stalker 2 with the priority of pleasing Analmeme/TROONNA retards who don't know what Stalker actually is.
