Devil may cry? Yeah, it's cool. Start woth 3 though 1 is very rough around the edges and 2 is boring af. Don't feel weirded out by starting with the third game, it's a prequel so you won't be confused by the story anyways if you care about that

You play 4 and 5 after since they move the story forward and improve on 3's gameplay ideas
Or you can play 1 after you're done with 3 if you want to learn a bit more about dante. 1 is not bad unlike 2 which is a rushed mess with no story, but it's really slow paced because it's quite literally a cancelled resident evil game that became an action game by the time it was done
