>>66780I wish i could say i hope the next one is better, but i'm 100% sure they won't learn any lessons from this game and will instead double down on the shit that ruined it

I never liked the game's style since it just looks like modded gta, william gibson said the same thing actually geg
the world doesn't look gritty or dystopian, it looks like today's muttmerica with bigger buildings
the parts where you play as Johnny are styled 1000x times better, I have no idea why they didn't make the entire game like that
the dlc is actually great, the new area is what I would expect from a cyberpunk setting and the plot is pretty decent(the vanilla plot isn't bad either, but the endings are really flat and I'm not talking about the fact they are all bitter, but there isn't much different to take away from most of them)
the gameplay can be pretty fun, but it gets stale quickly since you can get really op in a few levels, also some trees are objectively worse for no reason (assault rifles have NOTHING going for them, literally worse smgs in every way, pistols on the other hand are broken)
>reddit space
one thing I don't understand is why is there ZERO cosmetic customisation for cyberware????? literally the most recognizable visual aspect of the cyberpunk genre and you can't have big ass synthetic arms or legs, or silver skin or ANYTHING (those little piercing face tattoos the game calls cyberware don't fucking count)
thankfully there are mods for that, unfortunately, the modding scene is completely filled with gooners so I'd rather stay away from it

>>66847all in all, I consider og deus ex a better cyberpunk game stylistically and narratively
â„–66858[Quote]
I liked it personally, but it definitely has some very low lows. It was definitely rushed (plus, it was made by polacks and cucks) o algo

>>66847>I never liked the game's style since it just looks like modded gtaI've seen lots of complaints like this, but honestly? A futuristic GTA would be much better than what we got. The setting it is based on is simply that in a tabletop form, a crime-in-the-future simulator that doesn't take itself too seriously, and that's not what 2077 is. The story is too heavy-handed with melodrama, misery porn and bland "good" characters. Rockstar games can be like that too (RDR2 being the guiltiest) but there's also plenty of humorous moments and charismatic characters to compensate. To not be too harsh on the game it does have that at some points, but they're too few and far between. I wish "evil" charismatic asshole characters like Adam Smasher or the Maelstrom gang had a bigger role in general.
>the world doesn't look gritty or dystopian, it looks like today's muttmerica with bigger buildings Agree, partially. Even though there's lots of trash bags strewn about and a massive landfill in the badlands, the city itself is really lacking in dust and grime-covered surfaces like you'd see in densely-populated sprawling shitholes irl. Weirdly though, one thing that should look pristine and clean in this game are the pedestrians in rich areas, but since the NPC variety in this game is non-existant, you'll see the same trashy seminude people from Watson in places like corpo plaza when in-setting they should have strict public decency laws. Hate how there's no mods that fix this. As for the buildings, personally i think they're not big enough. I'd gladly let them cut half the map (specially the pointless desert surrounding the city) if it meant the game had more megastructures and they had explorable interiors.
>the parts where you play as Johnny are styled 1000x times better, I have no idea why they didn't make the entire game like that100% agree. 2077 tries too hard to make the game look "futuristic" by stuffing the city with pink neon and holograms. The city's building models you see in the past are pretty much the same you see in present, but they look much better because the dark lets you fill in the details with your imagination and ignore how pristine and shiny all the textures are. It lends itself to a timeless noir-ish aesthetic just like Deus Ex. The blade runner aesthetic is overrated
>one thing I don't understand is why is there ZERO cosmetic customisation for cyberware????? literally the most recognizable visual aspect of the cyberpunk genre and you can't have big ass synthetic arms or legs, or silver skin or ANYTHING (those little piercing face tattoos the game calls cyberware don't fucking count)Easily the most retarded aspect of the game… They went through the effort of adding customizable faces and genitals, something you never see 99% of the time outside photo mode, but never thought that players might want to have shiny metal limbs just like johnny when that's the thing you see of the player character during normal gameplay. Also the lack of playable third person mode is a travesty. There is a mod for that, but it sucks
I did have some fun with photomode at least… Only screenshot i have on me right now is this old one i took before realizing my game's textures were messed up. Guy in the pic is a 6th streeter who walked up to me and stared me down after anihilating a group of evil mexican women in the street.
>>66866The anime mogs the game tbh

its just a dystopia set in the future pretending to be cyberpunk

>>67063I don't remember there ever being romanceable whipipo. All of them are latinx iirc. There's that blonde corpo chick right at the beggining you can fuck once in the same hotel you die in, but she looks like a gross dyke and the scene feels like a joke at the player's expense.

It's mega ultra super dogshit for literal bangladeshi niggers

I agree with basically everything you said. Id also like to add that it has very limited role-playing potential because V as a character is obviously supposed to be a wigger/white trash so the only life path that suits him is the street kid. Ironically the only life path that actually establishes a strong friendship between v and Jackie is the corpo one, corpo dialogue options are also the only ones that let you be assertive or mean to annoying people.

Got over a 100 hours all in one run(street kid run) all endings but songbird and fear the reper , game play is fun dialoged is not bad same for decision making , how ever its very zogged
>help a troon to win races then he tells you about his dead husband>the only male v romance option is a fucking spic (((race mixing in other words)))>alot of degeneracy >have the option to have faggy romanceother wise i got nothing against it and would recommend getting the phantom dlc its a

also focus on not fucking up the dialogue in the oil field so you dont get locked out of an entire game ending

>>67302the only reason I helped the troon was so I could unlock the car and complete that one achievement where you buy all cars

>>67301It runs quite well on a 4GB graphics card in my experience, even with textures on high quality and maximum crowd density. Gotta use FSR for that doe
>>67302It's not horrible but i hate how the first act gives you false expectations. The Pickup has more choices and consequences than most of the game while feeling like a tutorial. With the exception of saving brick and takemura or being abusive or not to Alt, i've found that choices have no impact at all. I sure hope the dlc is better, i've heard good things about it even doe i'm trying to avoid spoilers

Also the worldbuilding of the city is a bit half-assed. Cyberspace, the gangs and stuff like gambling, merc hangout spots, street racing and fight clubs should've been a much bigger deal in the game than they actually are. If you played only the main story content you'd think the average person in Night City only watches gore and cp braindances for fun and nothing else geg. Next game should take notes from the anime
â„–67496[Quote]
I pirated it on release when it was buggy and shit. But other than that it just seemed bland and also seemed to have a lot of troons and gayshit.
