It's crazy how much they fumbled this game.
They literally could've just copied everything that gave warband a soul such as town ambushes, belligerent drunks, feasts etc but they chose not to do that and instead they hid everything behind UI buttons and gigantic cities that make you have to walk five minutes to your destination. Such a small change that made it go from a memorable experience to something that's unremarkable and bland. And the worst part is that they still haven't done anything about it after all these years.
