Rolling Line is good if you're specifically into train sets, it's basically a digital train set builder where you have infinite room instead of being limited to the size of your basement o algo. Very clearly designed with VR in mind, but works well enough in desktop mode too. You can also shrink down and drive the trains yourself, which is a nice plus.
If you also want to handle logistics, Factorio is basically the gold standard on that front. I recommend either using a rail world preset or just turning the enemies to peaceful if you're just trying to indulge train autism. Satisfactory also has trains but they feel more like an afterthought in that one.
OpenTTD is also a classic, although I haven't spent a ton of time with it personally.
