EuV is sad, despite its flaws you can see they really had a vision for the game and cared about it, even if they failed at it. They added content for a lot of nations, even snca ones like Mali right from the start, which is incredible taking into account paradox's standards.
Then there's games like civ vii in which they were just greedy jews.

I played it for about 60 hours on launch which got me a few hundred years into a single game as Spain. I like the game, but it didn't hook me in like I wanted it to. I guess my main complaint is that the dialogue options just didn't seem to matter that much and had little to no effect on the gameplay. I noticed that the recent reviews are just getting worse and worse over time. I will probably give it another chance eventually once they've had a year or two to patch things.

I play this game since release and I already have over 500 hours. I must say I enjoy EU5 more than EU4. The problem, as with any other paraslop game, is that their new games have to fight against their older games. Especially on the field of mods. EU4 has Anbennar and Ante Bellum. HOI4 has Kaiserreich, TNO, TFR. CK3 has EK, Songs of Return, More bookmarks+, AtE, AGOT, Godherja. Vicky3 will soon get it's Anbennar. None of these named games would have the numbers they have without the mods. I think that once the first conversion mods starts releasing, the game gets it's first 50% sale and people start pirating the dlcs, the numbers will rise up. It's just that now, once you've played Your first 10 countries, you've basically seen everything and You can go back to EU4.
