okay i watched it and I don't agree on more points than i agree (like chapter 1 being darker and more "serious" than the rest (i would love someone as King, maybe asgore will suffice) or not enough replayability or THAT scene can be interpreted as rape (and imo that wouldn't hart the narrative, it would enchant it unique way)). Especially about gameplay aspects
>deltarune focuses more on minigame / battle gimmicks than traditional rpg mechanics
deltarune and undertale are known to subvert traditional rpg tropes (and deltarune subverts undertale's tropes, like with gerson yellow spears or the whole chapter five "genocide" not resulting in anything other than bad looks and resentment from darkners, because they are smart enough to run away from battle), so absence of rpg mechanics like party building and such doesn't bug me, because deltarune is more of a bullet hell then rpg, and imo bullet hell is still challenging and minigames that are integrated in it sometimes (like with weather guys or tenna or enemies from chapter 4) make it more entertaining and less stale.
>susie developing healing makes ralsei useless, everyone having acts makes kris useless, potentially ralsei developing fire magic in chapter 5 makes susie useless.
I completely disagree with it. Susie's healing consumes more TP and heals more HP, while ralsei's healing is less costly and less effective, which differentiates them: if you need a big HP surge you use Susie, if you need a small heal you use ralsei and waste your TP at like rude buster or anything else at the same turn. Kris's acts are ALWAYS more effective than his companion's, and they also may trigger a specific minigame which, again, tests your bullethell skills. There are acts which require multiple characters that can only be performed by kris, and I don't recall any fight where Kris is useless. Except for the knight fight, but that's like, narratively good actually.
also about mike being a joke: he's a not a joke. It simply means that Tenna isn't connected to Mike as much. And chapter 3 isn't a filler. It gave us MANY insights, literally more lore heavy than ch1 and ch2 combined, and I will explain it if you'd like.
