I only like classic sonic. No other version of sonic does it for me. Usually I play the PC ports of the classic games with mods: sonic 1 forever, sonic cd miracle edition, sonic 2 absolute, sonic 3 air, and sonic triple trouble 16 bit, and sonic mania are all gemmy as fuck.

The fanbase is troony in all aspects because pretty much all of them are autistic. However, classic sonic will always be great despite how the series and fans has fallen.

When i was a kid i played bad flash games. I started playing the actual games when i was like 15, way too late, but i liked them. I played a lot of them. I will give a quick opinion on the ones i have played.

A great game, even if it is the worst 2d sonic. It can get tiresome mainly bc of the 3 act zones design.

My favorite. Excellent production overall, and the time travel system gives you a lot of replay value.

A true all rounder, nothing bad to say.

Once again just an excellent game although i think it's one of the firsts cases of DLC in a super production everybody knows alongside street fighter 2. I can't imagine the rage it may have induced to realize you buy sonic 3 and it's shorter than sonic 2, only to have to buy another game to have the actual full game.

I had more fun with the jet ski minigame than with the actual game. there is an official flash game which is only the jet ski minigame, although playing with the mouse instead of the ds stylus makes it hard to control

I think it's fine. My very first thought looking at the night stages was that god of war made a lot of money and i want some too, but they are fine. It has really bad graphics tho, heroes and shadow looked better but i guess it's the price to pay for a new gen game there, is like if you were to release resident evil 9 on ps4 or something.

I think it's worse than the ps2 version, at least on ps3 which is where i played it, it runs really badly and makes it really hard to play. maybe i should try an emulator or the pc version to judge it better. for now, i didnt like it

This is the first one i played when i started playing sonic games again. i think it's the best one from the boost era, although the old sonic controls really badly when compared to the actual classic sonic games, it's heavier and slower. And the modern sonic stages have those 2d sections which feel redundant in a game where there already is a character whose gimmick is being in 2d stages. Good game tho.

Worse stages than generations and the modern sonic stages are really stupid, they are just 2d stages on another angle.

I really like this one although it's far too easy, absolutely zero challenge. I guess it's what comes with making a game for nintendo, where even the adults have the skill of a toddler. A lot of retarded niggers say it's plagiarizing mario galaxy, but true aryan gods know almost all of it's ideas come from sonic x-treme.

It's a little disappointing that after 25 years they didn't do a true improvement over the original games, i think it's just nostalgiaslop for gen-y losers. If i am going to play a game with quality levels close to sonic 3 or cd, i may as well play those. I would have appreciated a high resolution with higher FOV mode for example, like what jazz jackrabbit 2 did in the 90s.

The game plays itself. You have to beat the game and then do the challenges to find the actual game. The actual game is fine, although the classic sonic plays really slowly like in generations.

I think it had good ideas but id didn't have the power to realize them. Apparently open world sonic is too much for 8th gen?. the stages are just normal boost stages so they have little difference with generations or forces. It's pop-in is insulting
>Shadow generations
It's the one i'm playing right now. It's fun but i don't think is too good or at least is not better than the original shadow. The changed controls on pc when compared to generations make it really hard to play with keyboard and mouse.

It peaked with the first game.

I would agree on everything except the special stages criticism. You need to know the layout before doing a quick and efficient play, whereas in sonic 2 and 3 they are an extra challenge that only requires reaction time rather than memory or repeated attempts. This is the type of problem that disappears when replaying, which is how sonic has always been designed, but a problem still.
It's to be expected reddit-approved niggers would think it's a defect since they either don't actually play the games they love/hate or just play it once. Seen from that perspective, it isn't a defect of Sonic 1 but a generational problem.
I'm split on this.

First game was Sonic Colors for the DS as a kid. I liked Sonic growing up, moreso the 2D games because they were easier than the 3D ones. Only started getting back into Sonic when Mania was coming out (I was in high school at this point). Hit my peak as a Sonic fan, played and beat dozens of the games as well as Sonic-inspired indies and fangames.

I've really lost interest after Frontiers, doubly so after Superstars. Sega can't do 2D or 3D Sonic anymore and I'm tired of settling for mediocrity. Plus, Spark the Electric Jester 3 honestly fulfilled a lot of what I wanted out of 3D Sonic. I'd be fine if Sega never made a Sonic game again.

Sonic 1, 2, CD, 3K, SA1, SA2, Colors, Gens, and Mania are all good. The rest of the series is disposable.
