I know BF3 had a 2 player co-op mode, but almost nobody knows about it and it also forces you to fly a helicopter in a mission, and it has a bit of a learning curve so you keep crashing 5 times in a row before you can complete it and that makes most people give up and leave. BF4 did have a training/test mode for weapons and vehicles which was a really good idea. I have no idea what the singleplayer is like in 6 because I only played the beta.
