Otherwise you can't beat nintendo. They're the only company that can sell you tech 10 years out of date, for the same price as modern tech, and charge you full price for games that are more like an indie game in length and gameplay value than a AAA title. What other company could have a price increase on a console, at the end of its lifespan, when its essentially an android tablet that was already outdated when it came out in 2017. My fucking school chromebook was probably more powerful than it, 4gb ram and a fucking snapdragon phone chip.

The price increase on the original Switch is a purely anti-consumer move to see how much they can bully them into getting a Switch 2 instead. The same goes for any price increases on consoles well into their lifespan. In no world is a console with a 2070 Super equivalent GPU worth over $500 in 2026. The Series X should be $350 at most with an extra controller and a game or two bundled with it at this point.
