This discussion has already been talked about to death, but something people don't bring up is the fanverse.
If it went well we could've gotten something very much in line with the feeling that old Fnaf gave. I think that was Scott's intention with starting that project while Steel Wool was doing the AAA stuff.
Fnaf Plus was definitely the closest thing to this, but despite the game going to be different gameplay wise, because it was a reimagining of Fnaf 1 most of what was shown felt like a version of something that already existed. Too bad the game got cancelled.
Kane Carter is trying to add that feel that classic Fnaf hype had and apply it to Popgoes Evergreen, but compared to Fnaf Plus its not going too well. Its obvious that the false animatronics were just added after he had the fanverse game deal with Scott and they're going to be added to nightmare sections after every night (which is one of the easiest things to shoehorn into a Fnaf style game) and wants these designs to be seen as something alongside the nightmare or toy animatronics. The designs themselves are just pretty bad even with heavy lighting, and he advertises them as the biggest thing of the game.
Not to mention he is constantly working on Popgoes/Fnaf side projects (remember when he made the April fools game cost money on steam?) and just announced another one recently all while Evergreen doesn't even have a demo. When Popgoes arcade was released on Steam and Mobile as an official Fnaf spinoff, Kane attempted to email Scott to help advertise that game on the Scott's youtube channel. Scott avoided responding to Kane which many people in the community thought it was intentional because of all the fuckups and greedy moments Kane was having after Scott made his once fangame official.
The Fnaf community has this toxic positivity complex where you aren't allowed to criticize the idea of the fanverse at all or call it a failure. Even the fans that hate Scott will defend this with their life. It also absolutely caused issues with the rest of the fangame community but that's not what we're here to talk about.
Five Nights at Candy's 4 is the last hope for me with something going well, despite his silence there's I could see it starting to tease more when its closer to being finished (still could go wrong however). As for TJOC development looks like best out of the Fanverse projects, but that looks the most like a straightfoward remake of the original, and the advertising isn't at all trying to feel like what Scott was doing.

>>56492And you didn't even have to mention Jonochrome being a pedo
β56506[Quote]
>>56493I didn't, because somehow despite all that he actually did release his game before it was known. Even the porting stuff was outsourced to clickteam.

>>56493tbf to jono I doubt he's actually attracted to kids because he never actually asked the girl for sex or pictures, I think she even ended up saying she didn't give a shit and they both moved on.
<preddit spaceObviously he shouldn't have done and I'm not defending him but the way people described it you thought he went to her house and raped her when in reality they were just glorified pen-pals

>>56493dude i remember being obsessed with ONAF and then being sad that the 3rd game got cancelled

the fact that Jonochrome is the only one people still know about proves how dead in the water the Fanverse is

yeah, I remember third grade

>>56888issa truke, but i feel like the reason Tyler wasn't in the fanverse probably had something to do with his desire to distance from fnaf, or to make TRTF into an original project through "The Road That Falls". Which is a shame, because he could've used the fanverse as a jumping off point to make a name for himself, and have financial backing through his work and selling thrembillions of lockjaw youtooz slop which would provide positive incentive for him to finish his projects by actually seeing fruits from his labour. Then again, this is the same fanbase that tried to groom xim on the 'cord so i don't blame him for running for the hills

>>56917Tbf Trtf has always been seen as a joke, especially by the time the fanverse was formed. I doubt he would've been contacted by Scott for business.

>>56608>third grade
wtf i was in sixth grade when fnaf became the hot topic
β56973[Quote]
>>56917Even if he was still interested in trtf being a fnaf fangame, he would be in the fanverse regardless due to falsely covering his game as fnaf 3 when it first released and making fun of Scott in the third game of trtf.
