Youl find much better power for price on secondhand gaming laptops since cacas turning adults who need quick money sell these for really good prices, altough you might want to consider their power draw and bulkiness an issue depending on ur usecase (i use a secondhand gaming laptop for uni but the weight doesnt really bother me since i only carry the laptop in my bag)
<opsecIf you just want to prevent getting any raised eyebrows from the feddies seeing ur posts do some basic opsec like configuring ur dns resolver or just using a vpn with firefox+adblocker while avoiding google services like gmail (use as much tempmail and cock.li as you can, if not try proton), and the simple act of not leaking your own info online will suffice, you dont need a ovepriced old thinkpad with a swollen battery to do intel ME and libreboot with gentoo, thats just hobby stuff anywyays, use any distro u like
