I'm scared of installing Linux because my gaming laptop only has one drive and I would just end up distrohopping again for months until I reinstall Windows even though I was fine with Ubuntu even though I hopped from it to another Distro the second I had any issue

It was too good of a deal to pass up, got it for new for around 500 off it's original price
Also I've had Linux crash far more times during my few months distrohopping session than Windows after I reinstalled Windows

Only thing I dislike about Ubuntu is not being able to double click on taskbar to close an app
Gnome is comfy and have had far less issues with it than KDE

Gaming laptops get 300% better secondhand deals because troons like you wont touch a laptop if it isnt a shitpad gegegeg

>my gaming laptop only has one drive
Create a seperate partition for the home folder.
This way you can easily distrohop without losing important files
