I distrust old software, OP. Just because it's entrenched, doesn't mean it's any good. Instead, a lot of the time, the UI is very obstructive.

i just use blender for everything but blender's sculpting isn't as robust as software specifically tailored for sculpting. i would still use blender though because i do not trust paid software to datamine me like adobe photoshop. i just pirate paid software instead.
