the shitty has the storage space and also because most boards apart from soy are dnbs so a long catalogue is good for retaining threads. also because 4chan is shit so that's why they only have a 20 page limit.

also when quote sold the site, the server transfer fucked up some shit and left some threads in limbo, preventing them from being slid.
