β40194[Quote]
>>40181Extension fingerprinting (usually) doesn't happen by a site literally being able to see what extensions someone's using, but by hinting from any observable behaviour of said extensions, like something changing CSS + DOM, or unique blocking behaviours from brapping up your browser with a billion "privacy" extensions or trying to do something unusual in your config. A simple url redirect probably shouldn't hint much information unless something's going seriously wrong.

β40216[Quote]
>>>40178>most fingerprintable nigger alive awardThe fight against fingerprinting is pretty much lost, everyone is fingerprintable. The way to avoid it is to block cookies and javascript altogether or block specific javascript apis (which breaks many websites and fingerprinting is even possible with pure CSS, see:
https://github.com/OliverBrotchie/CSS-Fingerprint) or use as many websites which you can be certain do not fingerprint you as possible as is the case with using alternative free software frontends as this user does.
β40217[Quote]
Also yeah I would advise against using nigwarden and instead use a local password manager such as keepass or my manager of choice, pass:
https://www.passwordstore.org/Never trust a "cloud" service when local alternatives exist (unless you host the bitwarden instance on your own server and you are very sure of your sysadmin abilities)
β40218[Quote]
>>40216Note that if you want to block the fingerprinting measures, your best option is to use an extension which allows fine-grained control over specific requests. I use uMatrix myself, it is a "deprecated" (but still very useful) extension by the uBlock dev. Despite being deprecated it's still better for power users than uBlock origin. It allows you to control requests for every website by type (cookie, css, js, image, media, xhr, "other") and whether they are 1st or 3rd party. The defaults which I use allow only for 1st party css and images (which breaks most websires since modern web is niggerlicious) and then i allow the bare minimum of other requests required for a website to function.

Haven't used it for a long time. Last time I used it it didn't allow for the same kind of fine-grained control I described. Assuming it still works the same way, it is inferior to uMatrix in its capabilities but overall still a good add-on that greatly improves your privacy if you do not wish to go through the trouble of setting up specific permissions every time you use a website.

>I use noscript and no other extension is no script ayran?
Never mind, I just checked its website and it seemingly does allow blocking per request type. Looking quickly through it it does seem much better now than it once was. Probably good to keep using it.

jshelter
β40244[Quote]
>jshelter
The issue with jshelter is that not everything can be spoofed (e.g. fonts) and not all fingerprinting techniques use javascript. It is still a significant improvement and not a bad thing to use by any means but a sophisticated enough fingerprinting system could probably still track you with it.

>ITT we discuss opsec
The single greatest thing we can do for OPSEC is to convince more normies to be privacy-focused schizos like the normies of the past. At this rate the NWO can simply end the existence of all of us if it wanted to because theres so few of us
β40383[Quote]
>>40373I've tried but it's genuinely sad how little normies care about opsec. I've had people tell me that they don't care about their computer or email getting hacked because they have nothing to hide and they'll just get a new one. There's people out there who legitimately don't know emails other than Gmail exist. I think the best way to convince them is to try to appeal to their politics. If they're left wing say that the heckin Trumperino is gonna use ICE on them or something, if it's a right winger say that the radical left is after them. You have to appeal to people's beliefs to persuade them
β40384[Quote]
>>40383For some people, it's actually impossible to have great OPSEC due to everything being an app and digital IDs infesting everything. It can be improved, but it's difficult to do. especially for normies who treat their phones like it's sacred.
Still, good advice on persuasion. People don't really care about facts, but convenience. That's why people use shit like TEMU, because
>It's heccin cheap and everything is SO expensive nowadays! β40457[Quote]
>>40384I've been thinking about it a lot but I think the reason people here are so obsessed with opsec is because we've got niche interests and weird beliefs that we'd prefer to never get out to the public. Even if it's completely legal you still don't want it out in the public view. Now take a moment and think about what the average normie has to hide. If you're just a common goyim who watches the newest marvel movie, scrolls chinktok or instagoy all day, and probably isn't out there actually doing shit to attract attention then what do you have to hide? I strongly believe in privacy but when your interests are widely accepted in society you often just don't need to hide them
<reddit spaceThis is why I mentioned appealing to people's political beliefs. Politics is one of the few things which you can be sure most people care about these days, if you tell a leftist that le heckin Trumperino will send ICE after them then they might actually start caring about opsec, even if the threat is fake. Same applies to boomer republicans, just replace ICE with antifa or something.

it sadness me when i broke opsec and spoke to some relative about opsec and what level of data mining is being done they say that im "too paraonid " . honestly i think (You) and me are aware that opsec isnt just online but also irl , you use this opsec and what ever freedom you have in this prison, i know its not really freedom but rather stability and keeping whatever shit thats still together , we scale stability safe and sound to the scale of what we cant achieve(total freedom) ,so one of the many things i do is that i never write such thoughts on AN ELECTRICAL DEVICE rather pin and paper far from cameras , luckily there is no thought police yet.
opsec is the last freedom we can hold against this system , the last resort , never bow down for the system itself
