Should i buy an IEM?
If so, what would (You) recommend?

 β„–40058[Quote]

YINYOO KZ-ZST is decent and they're cheap too. I do recommend getting silicone ear pieces with it though

Almost anything Chi-Fi between $50 and $150. Just make sure it has a rising bass response below 40Hz instead of one that's dropping off. Then learn the joys of parametric equalization.

its pretentious garbage just get Sony active noisecancelling headphones, used from ebay (like M3s, M4s, M5s or M6)

i have chu2 all my previous ones broke but this one can take a beating ie being dropped on the desk, floor dont get ones built
from plastic and ones that have the connectors not covered in
plastic around for protecting the pins but most of mine had some issues with the ports for the cable if you have good money get a mmcx iem cus they seem to have the best connection thats not loose

Depends on your budget and usecase, but since you don't have much experience with IEMs, just get something in your budget range and don't overthink it, that's what I did and I'm pretty satisfied

Why do people like IEMs so much?
They feel so uncomfortable to use for longer than few minutes

They're cheaper than headphones and it's easier to design a good IEM than a good headphone because you only have to design around the ear canal and not the entire ear. Headphones should be better on paper because sound interaction with the outer ear is inarguably more natural (Poverty fags on Redditchan will try to argue this isn't true because they're mentally ill). But like I said, IEMs are easier to design so there's a more competitive market, which means actual price competition. The one defense that actually works is that they stay in your ear when moving around, but lets face it, most people who heavily promote IEMs barely move. Because if they did, they would be talking about wireless models instead of wired models.

Personally, I just pay up for good headphones and EQ them. I still use speakers and a subwoofer way more than them THOUGH. I don't pretend IEMs or headphones actually provide a good soundstage or the deep bass that your whole body feels.

Your ears can get used to it and be fine I can use my IEM for hours with no issues

I use the Zero 2s. They are fine for what they are and my ears got used to their weird shape after a while.

this
i use them with my puter and theyre pretty good. theyre a bit uncomfy for me and sometimes fall out the ear canals a bit, but the sound quality is great (as someone who isnt an audiophile)

I’m revisiting this thread because I’ve convinced myself that I need to ditch my over-ear headphones. My use is specifically gamingβ€”CS2, PUBG, and BODYCAM. I also consider myself an audiophile, but I’ve never really been interested in IEMs for gaming, mostly because I’ve been ignorant about how they can actually perform for FPS. For those of you who use IEMs for gaming, will I be disappointed making the switch from over-ear headphones? I’m interested in positional audio, imaging, sound stage, footsteps, and being able to distinguish where sounds are coming from. I also care about sound outside of just competitive performance. I like this thread and would appreciate hearing from anyphono who use IEMs for gaming, especially with games like CS2, PUBG, and BODYCAM.

I'm still using my KZ ZSN Pro I bought off Ali back in 2020, these things are invincible and sound way too good for what they're priced at.
