Don't bother with DWM, not at least before you try i3 and still think it should do something you can't configure it to do. I like i3. I think its worth slogging through making your own config because it forces you to think about how you use computers and what you could do differently

I have a hotkey that turns on my CRT with a modeline for games, sets it to the primary display, and turns off all the other displays so I can play vidya. And hitting it again toggles it back to how everything else was. Pretty neat. And you can do cool stuff like cycle modelines on the current focused screen with another hotkey. I set my primary to 72hz when watching 24fps content, and 105hz for non CRT raisin because my 60hz display can do that for some reason

Yeah I tried setting up i3 on my other shitty craptop without any DEs installed on it and it actually made me question WTF the x11 display server did or how it actually worked …. I'm simply too retarded for it I guess since I genuinely don't know where to begin with window managers and GUI shit like that
