I have 2 old HDD's, one is from 2013 and the other is from 2007. They both make clicking noises when plugged in, the older one is louder and ~3x faster but makes the usual whirring noise as well, while the newer one is barely audible and clicks once per second, but no whirring sound. lsblk didnt list the second one (i couldnt see the first because i yanked the cable out the second i heard the clicks like a coward), these are both windows laptop HDD's, 2.5", older one is 200GB and the newer is 750GB, How can i rescue the data inside? All help is appreciated. Both use a SATA power and a SATA data cord, one plugged into DC and the other into my main (debian) laptop. Posting here since I'm about to sleep and it would get slid off in /g/ or /soy/. Ask any questions you want, I'll answer them either ~12 hours later or now. Try "hwinfo" to see if the drive exists at all to the computer. I imagine it should if it runs.

Note: the 2013 HDD works on the computer, but not when I plug it in my laptop, probably due to the fact that I had to daisy chain it together, which is probably causing the issue. Right now I'm looking into more direct cables and seeing if that solves it.

Windows is a lost cause. The disk light on every windows 11 machine I've see is useless because its on nearly the entire time
