TSMT. Somehow they are allowed to sell a completely different cut down die with the same name as the desktop chip, AND of course that's on top of having less than a 3rd of the power budget because its something you sit on your lap

Do dis. Get something with a modest CPU and only integrated graphics, but with thunderbolt or whatever PCIe standard so you can use an eGPU. Best of both worlds. Modern iGPUs are really good too, so you can still do a lot of games without it

Gaming laptops have higher profit margins, and they act like "gamer cred" fashion accessories and social status symbols to normalfags. That's the only reason they get shilled so often. Gaming needs to be made uncool again.

Many gaymen laptops still don't come with a MUX switch. Battery life isn't the main problem, it's price to performance ratio. And if you're actually moving the thing around a lot, a regular laptop is going to be better for most people. A couple pounds does make a difference when you're actually mobile.
