Rust is java (jeetlang) of the 2020s. The value proposition is exactly the same: it’s Safer than C++ and its easy to use so you can hire baljeet (just like jeetlang) instead of an actual programmer. Its also portable but instead of the jvm it’s some shitty llvm frontend thats not really good.
