>still works like a PC (no steamos bullshit where you just end up with a cuckolded computer)
>can be configured to look nearly-identical to Windows 10
>runs modern games with little friction (dont care about multiplayer, I'll dualboot a Windows install for MP games)
And no, Windows 11 isn't an option. I will dualboot the Linux distro with Windows 10 so I can continue doing work like hobby gamedev on Windows for as long as possible

depends on the desktop environment you want
I thought i would like kde but ive ended up as a WMgqd
You should give window managers a try, cachy allows you to install multiple desktop environments (which you can pick between in the sddm login manager)
