Manjaro or Arch Linux work pretty well if you're just starting out. Don't dual boot.

(You) should probably install mint, it's made for wincacas that want to have an OS that doesn't rape their users in the ass every 5 seconds.
Debian is also cool and unironically has newer packages (major release every 2 years btw)

you could get a razer blade 2017 or whatever its called for that price
my friend literally does this, he flips laptops
got one with a 32gb of ram, rtx 2070 mobile and a high end intel cpu for the same price
