My iCaca charger cable started to get really hot when I plugged it into the block/head today, not even charging a phono just letting it sit there plugged in idly. This is the first time it's ever happened and I haven't had any other issues with it. I know Crapple's products are garbage and disposable but I feel like something more severe is happening than mere planned obsolescence. I know this board is more about computers and OS raisinflinging wars than it is about mobile devices but does anyone have any idea of what could be going on?

nigga why do you leave it on at the wall charging nothing

Is it hot at one section or the whole cable? Its a short either way. I would think if it were enough to make the entire cable hot, OCP would kick in. So either your cable is chink garbage made of 2 strands of copper or your block is equally chink garbage that has no protection circuitry

Do you unplug it every time you're done with it?

I only leave it on the wall during the day I unplug it and put it away at night
