I need a gamepad for PC, gonna use it mostly for emulation.
Xbox (only Xbox 360 gamepad is good but it's unobtanium today) and Snoy (Dualshock 2 and Sixaxis were ok i guess) gamepads are outta the question, overpriced raisin that's going to break in a month.
So I wuz thinking of getting something like 8bitdo Ultimate 2, since it has TMR sticks and Hall triggers.
But I don't mind to consider other options as well.

What do you mean by gamepad? Like just a regular controller, or something with a touch pad? Idk, I would just scour the used market and then refurb whatever you buy

I don't think 8bitdo is overpriced for what it offers. Meanwhile xbox and snoy shit offers basic internals from two decades ago and costs premium.
And yes, I used to have Xbox One gamepad too, it shat the bed long time ago, both sticks started begging for life and shoulder buttons literally became maraccas

steam controller (2026) is literally perfect

as much as I'd like to get one, it's unobtanium officially in my region
and resellers ask like 1000% of the MSRP for one citing "STOCK IS SMALL, NEXT BATCH IN 2027, BUY NOW AT RETARDED MARKUP GOYIM"

Used to have a T4 Pro SE from 2021 to 2025, cheap, and it showed. Functionality was great.
The rest was a disaster bag for 4 years, then sticks sharted themselves completely.
But before that I experienced a problem with shoulder buttons/triggers ribbon cable, which is made out of very thin layer of graphite, which literally got worn out from the vibration, had to disassemble gamepad and mess around with it so it'd start making contact with motherboard again (had to cut out some of the connector and tuck it into socket + had to put some double sided tape between the cable and bracket on the shoulder button/triggers assembly).
and while I was disassembling it all, every clip on the case shattered because plastic is brittle like a car dash that was roasted under the sun for decades. thank God none of the screw posts sharted themselves and threading didn't strip because of shit quality plastic

I'm not buying another gamesir gamepad ever again. They're not made to last long in every regard.
