512MB pentium 3 laptop with a 2GB enterprise CF card as swap. Currently looking into using my 32MB of VRAM on a GeForce 2 Go as swap also. Probably will not use it as swap but as disk write cache instead

My battery life jumped from 50 mins to 6 hours when I switched to GNOME I'm not even joking.

And CS2 went from ~100 fps too ~200 fps.

The only advantage xfce4 had was lower resources usage, but even then dealing with audio problems there just isn't worth it.
