so there are a few options that I would recommend you. I first am going to say mint because it is one of the few Linux Distros that you can use without the terminal. I personaly would go with lmde 7 as it cuts out all snap packages from mint which are none to be annoying. But if you know absolutly nothing about linux or unix just go with mint. It does not make you any more of a man to pic another distro that is not mint just because mint is a easy linux. As for arch, it is not a good idea as it requires you to learn stuff about linux which you may not want to do. But if you care at all about the latest kernal you should go with fedora kde as it is stable but requires you do a post install guide to get nonfree software like nvidia drivers and the ability to play videos. But after that it is fine.

though if you want to stay on windows and have the glowes spy on you you can enroll in extended security updates. Or install a ltsc version or windows 10 or make a installer with a tool like rufus that would allow you to install win 11.

Does lmde 7 also remove this crap popup that goes on about some nophono keychain pgp encryption, each time I open Brave it asks me to set it up on my laptop and I don't know what the fuck this is or why should I care.

It's lowkey worse than those Windows popups because it shows up each time I launch Brave like what the fuck.

I have no opinion on snap because while I know it's shit sometimes it also sandboxes your crap in case some nophono chud does a supply chain attack, so in theory you would be safer, but just like the pgp shit I couldn't give a rat's ass about it.

Is the pgp shit on windows. Their is likly a setting that would disable popups from brave. I have used LMDE7 befor and never got a popup about pgp. I think that that is a problem with brave and not the os. Also their are private focused brousers like brave that don't ask about pgp encrycption like mullvad brouser.

The terminal is easy to pick up if you imagine it as code in englush

you should just use mint if you can, you dont need to use the terminal in mint, but you still have the option to

I was asking for someone who knows how to use Linux not your latinx brap opinion. You can't even spell "browser" right.

This garbage can apparently be disabled though.

Anyway, if LMDE7 doesn't have it I'll take it gladly.

It's better, yes, but for gaming, Wi-Fi drivers and graphics cards, Linux is preferable. However, FreeBSD is better in other aspects.
