depends on your threat model
it hides your activity from your ISP and hides your IP from website owners, but cloudflare can potentially snoop on your traffic

however, cloudflare can already potentially snoop on your traffic on any site using their services (like 80% of websites online, including this one) so it's objectively better than not using a VPN at all on cloudflare sites

i recommend just coughing up 5 euros for mullvad but if you can't afford a VPN it's better than no VPN
