I'd love to make something like this, but I've only ever made on ECP5 board in the past, I spent $75 to order it and get it assembled (I don't own the stuff needed to assemble boards SMD components) it arrived and didn't work, it then began smoking.

It would be better to make your own keyboard, instead of the keyboardio model 01, you could just make a diode matrix keyboard and connect it directly without worrying about usb and then write your own driver stuff for it.

If you want, once you switch to Linux you can run anti-ME engine scripts, my laptop is relatively new so it didnt work and all it did was blacklist the Me engine from communicating with the kernel, but you don't need all of this larp just for opsec.
