the real problem thoughever is that the linux kernel is a giant mess and what we should really be doing is designing and writing a completely new os kernel from scratch and NOT doing all the weird shit this time also why are display protocols such a mess? just have actual client/server where the server manages all that the windows and that ask it to do, and then the server tells the client thkngs like "draw this n dimensional pbject here with these parameters" and then the client renders it and you do whatever you want with the resulting image
