Thoughts on Linus Tech Tips's recent Linux Challenge series now that it has ended?

Luke is the only normal person at LTT and he did a good job showing what linux is like for the average run of the mill tech geek. Whoever the fag was and Linus have been beaten to death so I won't bother

knew it was going to be a shit show considering what happened last time.

Also this proves my point that poop OS, system76 and the cosmic desktop environment are just a bunch of pieces of shit.

I mean really how can you release a fuck BETA in an OS version named LTS.

Hope this piece of shit of a company goes under so that we can all move on the greener pastures.

I've heard their hardware is overpriced for the specs but good otherwise. They should really just be focusing on that because nophono cares about linux distro thrembillion

system76 does make modern computers and laptops with coreboot, which means disabled intel ME

true. we do not need yet another desktop / display manager. there are already more then i can remember.

we do not need yet another goynuntu distro with a different display manager. we have xubuntu, kubuntu, etc…

I agree, but its have to justify paying two times more for the same laptop, but with coreboot and having ME "disabled".

Soon AMD is going to open source their BIOS, which will allow engineers to figure out how it interacts with their version of ME. I think this will allow then to disable that.

Snopes? This would be a huge win. I hope the do microcode and vbios as well

basically they are porting their "AGESA" firmware to openSIL, which will be the open source replacement. This will enable developers to use coreboot on AMD and potential disable their version of Intel's ME.

AMD already released some open source firmware blobs for zen5 server aka socket sp5. Desktop AM5 is supposed to get openSIL during the zen6 launch.

There's also a evropean country that is already porting AGESA to openSIL, but only for the msi pro b850.
