Ive used Debian in the past and its good, it was stable and I didnt encounter any big issues.
That being said a lot of the packages on apt are outdated meaning you essentially have to rely on much bloatier flatpaks for up to date software.
And if you care about this stuff, the Devs are a bunch leftists retards who I'm pretty sure once let a sex offender speak at their conference. If you don't care about that stuff just ignore it.
If you do tho then there is Devuan which is a debian fork that is pretty much debain but instead of using the bloated Systemd, it uses other lighter init systems like Openrc. The Devs also aren't insane from what I could gather. If none of that made any sense to you then just keep using Debian.
It has its flaws but if you have a pretty beefy computer then I'm pretty sure all the points I made about bloat are somewhat moot.
