Besides all the cacas and trannies it’s not that bad. It’s static so no backends but if you want to start self-hosting it’s very accessible. The social features are gay as fuck but thankfully you can avoid them and play in your own corner while all the frontpage autists post about SNCA. Hell, a while back Neocities did some AI thing for April Fools’ and it caused a sitewide clittyleak and the worst of them went to Nekoweb. Nekoweb (for the uniformed) is actually much closer to the reputation neocities gets. It looks like complete and utter aids, the developers are all zoomers and it has an “official” discord to boot.
