You don't get Microsoft shoving ads for their shitty products in your face with a condescending "Remind me later" button rather than a outright decline button
You don't get forced to do updates like Windows does
You don't have to deal with constant buggy releases because of AI vibecoding in competently done by jeets
You don't get forced to create a online account or sign in. Sure it's possible to create a local account on Windows 11 Pro but it's hidden in dark patterns and they try to trick you into creating or signing in to your account

Realistically speaking, the difference between the desktop experience of Linux and Windows is practically non-existent. If you want to spend a week figuring out Linux Mint, go for Linux, but if you don't care to try to learn it, don't do it. It's all the same.

For reference I've used Linux for the past 5 years(?).

you can always try almost anything in a VM like VirtualBox and shieeet. Linux Mint is perfect for complete neophytes

Windows 11 is sluggish on my system (high end system - debloated and all)
Linux is so much more convient and let's you know your computer better (and its faster + more software that I care about that isn't on windows like qemu)

Use cachyOS or something because its just easy, OK?
