I know the ssd prices are shit right now but I'm scared it's only going to get worse, so do I scam myself now or do I wait and see what happens?

Have you actually done benchmarks to see if the SSD is really the problem? If you did, how full is it? You should never really fill an SSD above 90% for daily use
