<VERY USEFUL 'JAKKING DIAGRAMS: (attached)
<A great 'jak to look at that I think is really helpful is PPP:
https://soyjakwiki.org/PPP. The soyjak, source image, and tracejak all being easily comparable really helps demonstrate what makes something dusty or not and what those exact features are.
<>>16789460: >in general, don't draw the whole nose, especially the top. let the bridge of the glasses curve in a way to suggest what the nose looks like. if you do want to draw the nose up to the eyes and past, try making it something creative and still minimal kind of like chudjak's thick nose line that goes very far up.<General tips: Stubble should be the same thickness, NOT less, than the outline width. Glasses are usually better when thicker. Eyes should be black balls. Even if it's a tracejak you should still exaggerate and slightly alter facial proportions (again, look at PPP) to help further capture the essence of soy.
<Don't add complexity that isn't needed. The JapanARYAN's analysis of a dustjak and why it sucked (if thread is 'chived you can see it):
>Look at above and ask yourself: Is the shirt necessary? Are the extra nose lines useful? Aren't the eyebrows too thick? Shouldn't the lines not be aliased? The resolution is also several times larger in the dust variant, so even if you don't aliase the lines and use the right pixel size, it still looks too smooth.<And even if it's good, it should have some amount of uniqueness, distinct emotion, or "niche" if you want it to catch on. What defines the most classic and party-saving gemerald 'jaks is that they captured a distinct emotion or purpose that none had previously.
<And, most importantly,
READ THE 'KI ON 'JAKKING! It's the single-best resource that exists.
