Because libertarians are retarded and think that advocating for the bare minimum laws needed for children to grow up healthy in this era means you're ok with governments forcing you to cough up your ID to watch youtube videos about political events

 ā„–4294210[Quote]

Most of it is to normalize surveillance like in the uk which also added id verification behind grooming gangs on xitter due to 'explicit content' but i agree overall that actual porn should be id locked

 ā„–4294211[Quote]

>soyjak.party also known as thelibertariannetwork

 ā„–4294218[Quote]

People want to be more secretive about their porn addictions. So I'll give them half a point for that. The problem is that porn addiction is so widespread and normalized that few people will really care. Another half point is that governments and businesses WILL use your fetishes against you by "accidentally" leaking data, but at the same time I don't want porn addicted weebs and furries with 70,000 cartoon CP pictures bookmarked and 4 hours of daily viewing anywhere near the management of other people.

Yeah in middle school and high school I watched porn every night can't believe how just weird that is

 ā„–4294262[Quote]

The government does not care about kids jerking off to blacked every night they just want to enforce digital ids

 ā„–4294263[Quote]

just ban porn.

 ā„–4294272[Quote]

>>4294262
To be fair websites that sell nicotine and Tobacco products have needed your id

I mean most of the people who genuinely think that are typically anbraps in the first place.
>>4294164 (OP)
I think forcing IDs for porn sites is fine, but the issue is that the government typically overextends and adds needless bullshit to the mix that comes of as a way to spy & control the people. An obvious example would be the UK, but here in the States, California and Colorado are currently taking it a step further and requiring operating systems to enforce ID verification when accessing the internet.

 ā„–4294276[Quote]

>>4294272
same goes for stores that sell porn tapes. It's more about keeping the laws consistent between real and digital world

 ā„–4294281[Quote]

>>4294275
yeah, but that's just slippery slope fallacy. requiring operating systems to enforce ID verification when accessing the internet is wholly different to enforcing laws that exist in the real world online. You aren't required to show ID when you step outside.

 ā„–4294282[Quote]

All of you in the reppies are NIGGERS. You people have been accustomed to the priviledge of privacy and have become arrogant about it you have to start making sacrificies for the benefit of society and children, mandatory ID at restaurants, bars, hospitals, banks, parks and before any purchase NOW.

 ā„–4294288[Quote]

>>4294282
Stop being so emotional

 ā„–4294291[Quote]

>>4294288
srry but it is only natural we have to sacrifice a bit of privacy for the overall benefit of society and shit cuh

>requiring operating systems to enforce ID verification when accessing the internet is wholly different to enforcing laws that exist in the real world online
The lawmakers in California and Colorado have argued that this law is for child safety.

That's obviously just a false justification, that has only not been stomped out by the truth of logic, because both of those states are blue niggerhell so any legislative body is just an echo chamber anyway

Yeah, we should just make porn websites require an ID and then make an amendment which makes it so you're not allowed to force ID verification just to access the internet.

 ā„–4294320[Quote]

I still think its the parents job to take care of this shit tbh. The problem with that is no kid is gonna tell their parents they have a problem with watching porn. It seems like it would benefit society more if we just got rid of it entirely. Before the internet only fucking weirdos watched porn now everyone does its dystopian.

The parents shouldn't be just idle morons I agree, but Kids are smart when it comes to bypassing their parent's gaze

 ā„–4294333[Quote]

>>4294305
Yeah, but my point is that the government is very much opportunistic when it comes to stripping the fundamental rights of people. You can claim that it's a slippery slope, but this happens even in Red states. But then again, Red states typically handle it better. In my State, porn websites are required to ask for ID before accessing the site. PornHub apparently had a clitty leak over it and decided to not make their site accessible to people w/ my State's IP.
I'm not against laws that promote child safety, but some people need to realize that just because such predations against children exist doesn't mean that we should blindly allow ever child safety law to pass.

 ā„–4294339[Quote]

>>4294333
*every child safety law that combats easy access to porn

 ā„–4294347[Quote]

>>4294333
I completely agree. As a EU victim I can only be against ID verification laws, but the porn one is so base, that it only makes sense to enforce

 ā„–4294348[Quote]

>>4294333
*You claim that it's a slippery slope fallacy

 ā„–4294352[Quote]

I think it should go more like this instead:

Serious legal action should be taken against websites that show you porn even when you don't explicitly search for it. 4chan would shut down within a month because their entire thing is shoving porn in the face of the non-consenting. And the thing is, this would just be the reasonable enforcement of existing sexual assault laws, but online. Personally, I think the casual posting of porn and forcing it everywhere is by far the most damaging aspect of porn on the internet.

 ā„–4294372[Quote]

>>4294352
That's actually really good, with shit like elsagate and whatnot infecting YouTube way back when and even today, but it would be pretty hard for big companies like the afore mentioned YouTube to be completely clean due to their size alone. leniency of some sort would need to be shown

 ā„–4294422[Quote]

>>4294372
Yeah, you'd have to allow some leeway on the really big websites simply because of how much content flows through them. But those "massage" videos that Google troon and jeet mods allow on YouTube would be deleted very quickly if sexual assault laws applied to the internet. The automatic AI age estimation would become wore widespread and that bothers a lot of people, but really it would force people to smarten up, which would actually make social media websites far more usable. If some autistic 47 year olds get caught in automatic bans because they watch and talk about stuff like Teletubbies and MLP constantly, then that's the cost of freedom we have to accept.

Even if IDs don't pass, and even when the AI bubble pops, AI will be quietly used in the background and your data will be bought and sold so websites that aren't officially working together will still have a rough estimate of your age even if you've never used that website before. There's a reason all governments and companies want AI everywhere and push it so hard. It doesn't matter if you're a good little wage slave consumer or Hitler 2, they just want power.

No

Shaming you into stopping is good. If you stil don't, you have no soul and ruining your life through porn has no effect on civilization.

I'm not giving my ID to Jewish pedophiles who are making these laws specifically for the purpose of making children into disgusting faggots. If (((they))) cared about protecting children then there wouldn't be pro tranny propaganda in schools, there'd be no pedo migrants getting away with fucking everything, and porn would be illegal. You're an actual retard if you think mass surveillance is a good thing.
