Hello brappers of /pol/
I am a college student, freshman. I am currently on a maths-physics major, which is half of an entirely maths and half of an entirely physics program. by the end of the year i need to choose either maths major or physics major for the remaining 2 years.
What should I choose?

maths, it opens more opportunities for you I think

Math is universal but slightly more intensive than physics, with physics you can still get a job as high paying as math though. But a math major can go into finance while a physics can't. If you're so math savvy, you should minor in economics. That really opens up the world.

Math in general can very easily cross over into an Economics major which leads to the world of finance and banking. So if you minor in economics, you would at least know if you have it for that field.

>economics
god i hate it. tbh my dream is to make a breakthrough in maths and or physics.

in my head econ is closer to tech bros/nft bros / crypto bros than anything mathematical.
the only fin position in a company i'd want is ceo or shadow jooish stock owner a la klaus schwab wef.

econ seems so simplistic to me.

math and physics are equally useless snca degrees that are just a certification that you're generally intelligent without any concrete qualifications to actually do anything in particular
just pick whichever one you find more fun

Higher econ is all calculus as a major, but 95% of the work economists do is on computers and in meetings.

Whatever you pick, math or physics as a major, I would recommend economics and geography as minors. 1 major + 2 minors.

neither they both suck
