If your country has universal sufferage what do you think can be done to replace it with an epistocratic system?

What do you think makes someone qualified to vote?

How can we measure these qualifications?

How can we prevent ruling parties from corrupting what decides who can vote?

What can be done about the disgruntled unqualified people? How would you prevent them from rioting?

If you do think universal sufferage is the better of two evils what makes you think this practice is sustainable for your country?

Only people who forsake most or all material pleasure should be allowed to vote and/or rule.

That could work but you can't realistically have enough people with that level of austerity represent the populace. We live in an age of unprecedented comfort and we must work around that fact. If those kinds of people were in charge of ruling/voting do you think they would acknowledge that the people need their luxuries?
